European stock markets close Tuesday higher

ISTANBUL (AA) – European stock markets closed higher on Tuesday.

The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European market in 17 countries, was up 1.78 points, or 0.38%, to close flat at 468.62.

The UK’s FTSE 100 increased 29 points, or 0.38%, to finish the session at 7,909.

Germany’s DAX 30 also rose 93 points, or 0.59%, to close at 15,882.

France’s CAC 40, meanwhile, added 35 points, or 0.47%, to reach 7,533 at the closing bell.

Italy’s FTSE MIB was the best performer of the day, soaring 191 points, or 0.69%, to 27,891.

Spain’s IBEX 35 was up 43 points, or 0.46%, to close at 9,421.
