The EU and eurozone saw an increase in industrial production in January on a yearly basis, official figures showed on Wednesday.
The production was up by 0.9% in the euro area and 1% in the EU, Eurostat said.
Among member states, the highest annual increases were seen in Ireland (19.5%), Denmark (14.2%) and Malta (12.4%), while the largest decreases were posted by Lithuania (-12%), Latvia (-9.8%) and Slovakia (-8.6%).
On a monthly basis, the industrial production was also up by 0.7% in the euro area and 0.3% in the EU in January.
